 Scarpa

The SCARPA company has long associations with the UK being originally founded in 1938, by Lord Rupert Edward Cecil Guinness, second Earl of Iveagh. He had decided to gather the best leather craftsmen to establish the Società Calzaturieri Asolani Riuniti Pedemontana Anonima, hence the acronym SCARPA - all based in the Asolo area of Italy. The Luigi Parisotto was an apprentice with SCARPA, left to form his own company, and finally in 1956 brought the company in which he started his career.

SCARPA continue to produce quality footwear for wallking, climbing, trekking and skiing. Boots, like the excellent Cristallo, continue to win awards and rave reviews from the outdoor press.
